Well, we did it. Shaftbond and I, along with the help of his brother and one of my college friends ended up putting a short for the Phoenix Chapter of the 48 Hour Film Challenge. The competition started at 7:00pm on Friday and ended at 7:30pm on Sunday (technically it was 48 hours and a half ). The genre we were given was Romance and the requirements were as follows: 4-7 minutes in length, must include a character named T. Steel who is a floral designer, must have mirror as a prop and must include the line "You knew this when you met me" in the dialogue.

It was one hell of a weekend, brainstorming, writing, storyboarding, setting, hunting for props, shooting, uploading, editing and putting the whole thing together...but in the end I think it was all very much worth it, even if it meant that since Friday morning up until last night and I totalled 3.5 hours of sleep.

We are both pretty pleased with the product, obviously there is always things that one needs to tweak after the fact, but when you are in that tight of a deadline some things must be allowed to slide. Shaftbond and I will be cleaning up any loose ends during this week and hopefully I will have a file I can upload to my server for you guys to take a look at.

In the meanwhile, if you wish to go to the screening and live in the Phoenix metropolitan area, I urge you to attend. It will be held at Harkins Centerpoint Theatre, 730 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, June 21 7:00pm .

It should be a fun one. I, unfortunately, will not be able to make it to the screening due to work but Shaftbond should be there as well as our other crew members. Your support is appreciated and vote for us if you feel we deserve it.

Got a free subscription, thanks to the kind hearted gods of DA, and man!!!! I had forgotten how sweet it is to browse your favorites using icons. I love it! Too bad I am all broke and can not afford this dang subscriptions or I would be set for the next year. Oh well...enjoy 'em while you got 'em right?

I know I have not posted anything for a while. I actually got a drawing I am working on...if you go to [link] you will see it in the forum under the showroom section, but for some reason I just...can not get it right. I have worked on it some more this weekend, but really in short spurts, I have very little time these days. Mostly cause I keep watching movies. If you want some of my recent reviews, by the way, check out the Movie section, and feel free to register, join and put in your two cents. The more the merrier.

This weekend and I will be working on a 48 hour film challenge, trying to write, storyboard, shoot and edit a short film, so wish us luck
